Annual Home Education Evaluations
Heavenly Dove provides Annual Home Education Evaluations for Florida home education students. Evaluations are conducted by Leona Peters, a Florida-certified teacher, and are designed to document educational progress while making the process encouraging and supportive for homeschool families.
What’s Included
- Portfolio review by a Florida-certified teacher
- Review of the student’s educational progress appropriate to age and ability
- Discussion with the parent and/or student, when appropriate
- Signed Annual Home Education Evaluation letter for submission to the school district
- Professional guidance and encouragement
The Evaluation Process
- Schedule your evaluation.
- Submit or bring your student’s portfolio for review.
- Meet with the evaluator for a portfolio review and discussion.
- Receive the signed evaluation letter.
Evaluations may be available at the Heavenly Dove office, virtually when appropriate and consistent with Florida law, or at another mutually agreed meeting location.

Heavenly Dove offers two achievement-testing options for homeschool families. The best choice may depend on your student’s needs, goals, and the type of information your family is seeking.
Iowa Assessments
The Iowa assessment is one of the achievement-testing options available through Heavenly Dove. Contact us to discuss your student’s needs, current availability, testing details, and pricing.
Stanford Achievement Test — SAT-10
The Stanford Achievement Test, Tenth Edition (SAT-10), is also available as an achievement-testing option. Contact us so we can help you determine which available test is the better fit for your family’s goals.
